Briana!
One of the best things about being a photographer, as it turns out, is meeting and getting to know so many terrific people. As I think about it, that may actually be THE best thing.
Being a photographer enables me to cross paths with people I would have never otherwise met. Fashion designers, clients, models, hair and makeup artists, videographers, photographers….
This is the third in an ongoing series of posts about some of these fantastic people.
Briana
I was very fortunate to meet Briana in early 2012 during a photographer gathering at Don Giannatti’s studio in Phoenix. She is, simply put, a Blast to work with! As soon as you meet and shoot with her, you understand why she graces the cover of all of Don’s books (and most of the pages, too).
She makes subtle but terrific moves for each image, resulting in so many wonderful images (which, coincidentally, makes the task of down-selecting later on a real, if pleasant, challenge).
Briana is both a model and a dancer. “Levitational” is always a word that comes to mind when I think of her: she leaps high into the air from a standing start, over and over again, when most of us would need a step ladder and rest before coming back down!

Don and I collaborated (conspired?) to bring Briana to Seattle (where I live) for his creativeLIVE class. While here, Briana and I managed to get some time to shoot after hours in the evenings and on the weekend.

I traveled to Phoenix again this past February for another gathering at Don’s studio, where I was able to shoot with Briana yet again!
